Say I want to go into a camera shop to enquire about a DSLR but that this DSLR needs to have a DoF Preview button. I never know exactly how DoF is supposed to be pronounced? Is it Doff as in Toff or Doof as in Spoof? I'd hate to go into a shop and pronouce it wrongly. Would be well embarrasing like.

Just call it by its full name i.e. "Does this camera have a depth of field preview button?"

If DigitalRelish has never heard it be called "doff" or "doof" how can DigitalRelish know!? And I would always say "Depth Of Field" for the acronym DoF.

And in saying that you will waste approx, 1 whole second of your life, LOL. At least that way the person in the shop will know what you're on about too.
