Had a Leeds strobist group meet last night. After thinking my Sigma 18-50 had given up the ghost when it stop autofocusing I swapped it with my nifty fifty. Trouble was the wide shot we did for my 52 this week meant I needed something wider. I borrowed a kind gents 17-40 L plopping my nifty on his camera bag for safe keeping. Trouble was it wasn't his camera bag, but an identical one owned by a guy nobody really knew. D'oh! Hope he likes his new lens!

Insurance will cover it. I lost a tripod on a beach, they covered it. It's called "The Stupidity Clause".

Hardly worth claiming on insurance for a 70 quid lens, Gary. I'm really hoping he'll turn up at another meet or get in touch through the group.
