A few shots from yesterday mainly with a bird theme ...

Both of the first two were taken one handed while I was on the mobile - try that without a grip for those who are comtemplating buying one or not.

I know this one breaks the rules a bit but I like it and I was lucky to get it as the bird landed close to me and I had the 400mm f5.6L on the camera so it pretty much filled the frame.

Any comments appreciated.

The first shot is excellent!

Your crow shot could be rescued by (purists look away now) slightly enlarging the frame and cloning the missing feather tips in from the complete ones. :)

They are all good, shame about the beak being out of focus on the 2nd pic and the tip of the crows wing being snipped too, but not bad at all !

Any Better?

The 2nd picture OOF beak is actually due to pretty fast movement. If you look at the berries in picture 1 you can see he was gorging himself. Taken at f5.6, 100ISO, 1/800th on 400mm f5.6L.
