First attempt at some at a drift day at Santa Pod, here are a few select images.

C&C welcome, though I already know a few of the images that I really liked seem slightly too static!

Yes you're I did go to 1/320 but maybe around 1/200 would have been perfect.

Here's a couple more:

Ferrari GT4?!?!?!

No.6 would be really nice with a a shower shutter to draw the background out a bit, to make it look less static....as it is the faster shutter shows the heat from the exhaust which looks really cool B)

love the expression on the guys face in number 4 especially with the wheels spinning !

I would use lower than 200th sec for Drifting. This one is 125th sec.The cars are only going slow as they go sideways so 125thsec 100th sec gives best results.

thanks kestral, I do have some more shots taken at lower shutter speeds I haven't uploaded yet but I think I'l make some more trips to the Pod. Does anyone go here (to shoot?)

If you have a VR lens that also helps.I find it more difficult to do the Drifting shots and get a nice speed blur background than cars or bike going faster. I go to Santa Pod sometimes. To see photos go to http://iwantpics.co.uk/ there are some Drifting and Santa Pod on there.

Thanks some great pics there - I was using a VR lens guess I have to practice more!
