Dropped my camera with lens attached. Its a Sigma 17-70mm F2.8-4 Contemporary. It only fell about a foot onto laminate floor.
It looks like something internal has broken. The Auto/manual switch has locked in place and the zoom ring feels loose next to the mount.
The lens still seems to motor and focus when fitted.
Luckily, I took out insurance on 6th Feb so I can claim with XS of £100. Also, its probably covered on house insurance. Or, I think Sigma charge about £100 for an inspection etc.
Can anyone advise what the best option would be, or are there any other repair specialists that could be considered?
I'm gutted as its my everyday lens.
