Edit My Images
No
Can some explain to me what they do to get prints form this company?

So you edit your photo in what ever software you have in the sRGB colour space and then once ready to save then convert to their ICC profile?

And also what do they mean by

"All images should be supplied...at 300 dpi and sized to the correct output size required"??

You can't just supply them with a 14mp image at a 3:2 ratio and get it printed at 15" by 10"?

I just upload sRGB files having proofed using their profile (greens can go a little darker sometimes).

You don't need to re-size to 300 DPI at print size although you do get better sharpness and details if you do.

I just edit as per normal, then use the crop tool in their upload software....hasn't let me down yet! I upload in sRGB too..I know the limits I can go to with it, having used them for a while, so no need to bother converting for myself personally! :)

Ok see the 300 dpi thing.

If I make my image 300 pixels/inch do I want to resample my image so the number of pixels change? Or do I want to just make it 300 pixels/inch but then the document size is tiny???

Interesting! I sent these people two CD's and they sent them back as unreadable. Both worked fine on all the PCs I tried. All images were 300dpi sRGB.

I ended up using Colab.

I export the images from LR at the print size so the pixels actually change. With prints above 18" I tend to drop the DPI though rather than create massive files that will take forever to upload.

I always crop my images in Photoshop and resize them at 300dpi, so that im always sending the right file size.

So, if i want a 10x8 then i send them a 10x8 @ 300dpi and never ever had a problem with them :)

Well, I usually use Photobox but as I needed some 15x 10's which were cheaper and work were paying I've given them a go based on a recommendation on here yesterday. We'll see how it goes.

Prints arrived today. Have to say they are dark compared to the shots I sent. Brown stripes on a jumper have come out black.

Good price and delivery though.

I SIGN UP TO FORUMS TO PRETEND I HAVE PURCHASED FROM A COMPANY THAT I OWN.
I THINK MY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS AND THE FORUMS ADMIN MUST BE STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR IT
