DSLR Storage Question

Lens on one, other is stored body only.

Based solely on how they fit in my camera bag, one body has a lens left on, the other has the lens removed :)

My 28-75mm Tamron is always on my D700 as i use it most, i wouldn't think it a good idea to store the body without the lens, as every time you put on/remove a lens there is risk of dust getting into the sensor, that's how i see it anyway :)

D3 bodies: 24-70mm lens on one, lens-cap on the other one...it's the only way they'll fit in the main camera-bag...
D3x body: 35mm f/2 lens fitted (in another smaller camera-bag which only goes to studio shoots - also in that are all the flash triggers and cables etc).

Fun-(film)-cameras: 35mm lenses on both.

thanks guys, the reason why i ask is that I have upgraded my Sony A200 to a Sony A700 and just having a go with it. I just want to keep it in excellent order.

Keep it in the box and don't use it, that'll keep it in mint condition....:D

Have 2 bags, one I use, 2 bodies with lenses attached, plus anything else I need, the other I store spare lenses and bits in.

I picked up a flight case with foam inserts for £25 at maplin, all my kits goes in there, the body always has the nifty fifty fitted in the case.
