I'll be working in Dubai over Easter and would like to get out in the evening to have a look around and take my camera. Are there any night markets or something similar as I really enjoy taking photos in places like that.

I'm not interested in taking large cityscape photos.

Deira Spice Souk market on 10th Street and Deira Fish Market look pretty cool.

Just by the Spice Market, you'll find the water taxis crossing the river. That's all pretty scenic at night.

The Gold Souk is quite spectacular too....

All of downtown Deira really.

That part of Dubai really wakes up after darkness and the temps drop from 'Insanely hot' to 'survivable' - This time of year is the least fierce as far as weather and temps are concerned.

Just a few notes -

Codeine is a controlled drug in the UAE, and the penalties for possession, and in your bloodstream are harsh.

Don't take pics of Military, Police, Palaces, or airports without express permission.

Don't take pictures of native Bedouin women without express permission.

Those are the major ones, apart from that, have fun and show us the piccies whence you return.
