Earthshots.org ?

Hi,

Just a quick survey I guess.
Those of you who know of earthshots.org, would you say that if your image was chosen for picture of the day it would render it unable to be entered in a big competition?

My thoughts are that it would be fine as it isn't a prize winning thing and is only a picture of the day feature rather than a prestigious award?

I'd go with it as a picture of the day but might be worth checking with one or two competitions just in case.

I would think it could easily be knocked back or disqualified by some of the competitions/judges.

T&Cs for each competition vary, some stipulate that it must not have been 'placed' in another 'major' competition some don't.

Some stipulate that it cannot even have been 'shown' before.

It's not just that it may have won something before, it is also that it is out there in the public eye with a name attached to it and it becomes open to potential bias.

Best check with them first to save wasting your time.

Yeah thanks for that. Wanting to enter it into Veolia environnement wpoty. They let you publish them but say no national/international competition. But I wonder if earthshots counts that's all. I've emailed anyway.
