Hi All,

I wasn't sure where to post this so im putting it here, mods move if need be.

As some of you may know i joined this forum some time last year and was clueless to all things photography related, even terms such as DOF and bokeh confused me. Over the months i have pushed myself to learn new techniques and take better pictures, I have everyone on this forum who has helped me or gave critique to thank for that, plus myself obviously, but i also buy the Photography For Beginners Magazine.

Recently they open an online gallery for people to upload pictures, 1000's upon 1000's of pictures have gone in, I was over the moon to find i had some pictures in there 'Top rated' Section and 'Most viewed' sections, and last week i made the 'Editors Choice' Section on the web site, with a following e-mail suggesting they may want to use some of my photographs in the future in their magazine.

This for me is a massive confidence boost and pat on the back, the link is below if any of you care to look or even join up and post some work?

I think you've done an awesome job considering the amount of time you've been at it!

This is a testament to how quickly photography can be learned with the Internet and determination. In the film days even with full time education you couldn't have got this far.
 
Nice one Matt, it's always good to get a bit of a boost every now and then. Makes it seem worthwhile. :)

Just checked the site and there is 77,868 galleries and I'm still third on the editors choice, wahooo
