Iceland is a place on my to-do list. You see some superb images on this forum. I came across this timelapse video from Stian Rekdal today. I just makes me want to go even more.
I think it also used to say something along the lines of not commenting on issues like this in the thread itself but to contact a staff memberHang on... I thought we couldn't embed or post work from other people... surely that can't be a rule for only photographs. If it's OK to embed video... why do I get told off for embedding photos in tutorial and critique threads? Do we have double standards here?
Well, how would members know not to do it, if it wasn't brought up in the thread?.I think it also used to say something along the lines of not commenting on issues like this in the thread itself but to contact a staff member![]()
From the rules initially(having said that they have been re-written). Then when it has happened a staff member usually comments.Well, how would members know not to do it, if it wasn't brought up in the thread?.
I think your right about videos being embedded for a while. It could just be that it was never brought to the attention of a staff member with those I suppose.I have raised this in the forum thread... doesn't mean I can't ask generally. After all... someone in here may have been able to just give me a logical answer.
I've seen video being embedded loads of times though... it never seems to get challenged... unless I'm just not noticing it being challenged.
Fair enough... if you want to comment, do so in the thread I started elsewhere.
Carry on....
For what it's worth.... Iceland is on my "absolutely must do very soon" list. It's not a cheap trip though.
I've been to both Iceland and Norway. Both fantastic places for photography but I think Norway(Lofoten Islands) has the edge with some amazing impressive scenery for the aurora. What a beautiful video.
I was looking at going to either Norway or Iceland to spot the Northern Lights. Norway was first choice but this video has me thinking again! The time lapse of the lights are incredible.
