Evening all,

Just a quick one to see what peoples views are on Elements 8 for Mac. Is it worth the money??

Converting from PC to Mac and I am going to have to give up on the beloved Paint shop pro!

Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.

cheers

Brad :)

Works fine for me :)

Only thing it seemed to be missing was masks but it turns out there's an add-in / plug-in for that :)

HI Brad, We use both the Mac and PC version and unfortunately although the editing section is the same on both platforms the superb elements organiser is unavailable in the Mac version instead you get Adobe bridge which somewhat diminishes its appeal.

It's also worth noting that elements does not work in conjunction with iphoto '09

I suggest trying a free trial download and seeing how you get on. Lightroom or aperture might be better options

I think it's the other way round in the the PC version is diminished by not have the full Bridge CS4

i've got it and used it a couple of times as a newbie, i like it, although could do with more ram or something as the fan kicks in and works a little slower

I use iPhoto 09 to view and edit in Elements 8 without issues. What are you trying to do?

I was playing with the trial the other night and was hit by that. Will have to download the plug in and try again.

Not sure it will be worth my £55 yet though, needs more playing with to see if GIMP can be displaced.

Sorry chaps, I'm talking rubbissh, the issue we have is with Elements 6 and iphoto 09, our one and only mac is pre Intel so won't run 8. We'll update it soon.
