Hi There Everyone,

Got a little problem, yesterday I bought a new domain name: www.jp-photography.co.uk

This was bought to replace my old one of jpphotography.co.cc.
The domain package is £2.99 per year with 100 free email forwardings.

Well that all sounds good, but I made a googlemail account for my email forwards: j4miep@googlemail.com

The question is, when I send an email from another account to "info@jp-photography.co.uk I get an auto message saying the message couldn't be delievered.

And when I send an email from my outlook the recipient gets my googlemail email address.

Could anyone offer some help on the situation and tell me what i need to do to get it to work (by the way I'm not the best with computers) but I know quite a bit :) :lol:

I have just set up another account "queries@jp-photography.co.uk
And I can send emails to it fine :)

Just can't hide my googlemail email address on the replies, any ideas?

Go into the account settings in your email program, there should be a section to enter your email adress, then that's what the recipients will see when they receive an emyther from you...

I am using Outlook 2007

so any specific details of how to do it would be great.
 
Edit the gmail account and under your name is your email address, change that.
 
I've just done that
I went
Tools -> Account Settings - > Clicked on j4miep@googlemail.com -> changed my email underneath my name, and it's still the same when I send an email :S
 
Ok, then click on More Settings... and fill in the reply-email box
 
Just changed that now
Still comes up with googlemail when I email someone.

I also restarted Outlook just to make sure and it's still the same.
 
The googlemail you see when you email someone is just the name of the a/c in Outlook, not the actually email address.
 
isn't this a limitation with google?

I seem to recall they won't allow you to do that (or any form of anonymous smtp traffic)and overwrite your replyto: address regardless of what you try.

what you need is to find a supplier that allows you to do this (plus.net do for example, as that's what I use) - unfortunately these tend to be email services that cost money

There must be a free one out there that people use.
 
How about hiding the actual email address, because they would reply to googlemail (without seeing it) but my signature says the proper email address.
 
why phaff around with gmail anyway? You have the grown-up email which can be accessed directly via outlook.
 
It wont let me have the email through outlook :(
 
Didn't you get any email accounts with your broadband or dialup package?
