Enhanced on-access anti-malware protection - What is it?

I am experiencing some issues with my PC at the moment. The interweb keeps locking up as does my PC for a few minutes. Then I get a message that Enhanced on-access anti-malware protection stopped working and was closed.

I have Panda anti virus stuff running in the background and have just done a system scan where 15 spyware things were found and neutralised.

Any ideas what is causing this and how to stop it? It's driving me mad!!

It is a known problem - have a look on the Panda security forum.

Panda is pants, bin it and get Avast. Also get Malwarebytes.

Cheers for that folks - Malwarebytes installed and running and Windows firewall being used. Looks like the problem MAY be sorted!
