I treated myself to trip on the 'Epping and Ongar Railway' the other Sunday - got the Classic 339 route Bus from Shenfield Station at top of my road FREE with my Bus Pass and got a 'Concession Ticket' 15 quids printed off their Web-Site and had to exchange it in booking office for a 'Classic Cardboard Ticket' . I took my lovely CLA'd 1978 HASSELBLAD 500C/M + 3 lenses + 2 A16 backs, small Sunpak Flash. FILM was last roll of 1992 Dated ORWO NP22 and 2006 dated KONICA Pro 400 ( rated 200 ASA) . Seeing that old eastern block locomotive was a bit of a shock. It sat for some while in the Fyfield yard of a late friend of mine who had an interest in the EOR. It was, superficially at least, in perfect condition then. I guess it was a dozen or so years ago.

I really should have a ride on the railway. The steam engines form the soundtrack to our weekends, and its lovely to see the steam rising above the trees in the distance. However, last time I rode on the track was on the last tube train in 1994, with my then 4 year old son. He is of course 32 now!

Great photos, Pete. I love the B&W portrait of the station staff, and the colours of the film suit the subject really well.

EOR had a surprise a few years ago when someone used a charter train to make a porn film.
