Yes
Been thinking hard over the last few days, with the long glass gone, I cant wait to start shooting like I used to and stop obsessing over sport. My aim is to now be a brilliant portrait photographer or best I can be and also get into landscape, urban and sea.

So, no more cold winter touchlines, worrying about deadlines, worrying about missing the shot, worrying about flood lights, just good old photography.

Sometimes change is good I think and I am now thinking about the d700 instead of my d3 - one heavy camera. Naturally the 5D appeals as some will know that I was a Canon man from the off.

As ever changing my kit does not bother me, it is the letting go bit I find hard.

How do you cope with change?

Pete.

Change should be embraced providing it is for the better.

I love your work here - not sure about the second one but I love the first and the rest are excellent also.

well for the picture i have seen your portrait stuff will be amazing.
I hope you enjoy it and do well from it :)

Picture 3, Amazing!

I think you have more then enough potential to make it work as you already have the talent and experience. Embrace the change and YOU make it work!

Oh, and maybe a 5dMKii might help you ;) Haha!

Good luck fella

Very nice.

What I like about your portraits is that you are not afraid to overexpose and leave hotspots. I think that this always leaves a powerful focal point. (It has to be right though)

You cannot fail.

The texture and detail in number 3 is amazing Pete!

I think you've already accomplished this mate, you're one of the only portrait photographers still left on this forum that make me go wow

Keep it up :D

I'd second that, your work is always absolutely top notch and always different you seem to manage to avoid the cliches and always suprise me with something.
