Facebook page?

Hi all....... I'm new to this site, and just wondered if we can promote Facebook pages on here???

You'll have to wait for a definitive answer by the mods, but there's not many on here who will link to other sites to check photos. If you want to show them on here you should just post them on here. People do put links to all sorts of sites though.

Not sure that promoting it to a bunch of amateur photographers is going to be that helpful. Depends what you do I suppose. But there is a thread here to post links.

This thread popping up in your first couple of posts possibly won't get you the best response though.

It's considered to be good etiquette to post pictures that you want us to see and comment on, here on these pages themselves.

And I may well be in a minority here, but I won't have anything to do with Facebook.

one question thats confusing me....on your facebook page, on the top where it says wall......Aralia photography and then 'most recent posts'....your name is in blue and 'most recent posts in black.....
On my page its the other way round and so my wall posts are not visible :-(....do u know why that is?

it could be because you have your privacy levels too high my page is open to all and set up so that they are what show up first if you pm me a link to yours tho ill go on it and have a look cos that might not be the case

To answer your question about why people don't click links these are my reasons

#1 I don't want to go away from the forum to view something unless there is a good reason
#2 I takes extra time to go away even if that is a few seconds
#3 It's not easy to I think this or that needs changing to improve x or y, as others cannot see what I'm referring to
#4 I've had virus issues in the past from clicking links especially to facebook

another thing for me having been here for a while is you can post upto 1024px on the on longest edge, so post that that's what I do now it makes life so much easier, as I don't like thumbnails either as again it takes me away from the site..

I should add I'm not suggesting that your link is in any way miscreant, it's just it's been know to be an issue in the past :thumbsdown:
