Yes
So, Facebook are bringing out an integrated email/chat/sms/messaging type service, it seems.

Anyone registered? I registered last night for my invite, nothing back as yet though.

It probably won't replace gmail for me, it would have to be very special to do that - plus I don't really want to be giving out my email address as @facebook.com :p

But, I guess it's not really aimed at people like me, with multiple domains, email accounts and the like :)

Thoughts?

Given their information assurance track record would you actually trust them with your email?

I would defo be interested in the email.

just got to be quick before others take my email addy.

I rather like look of/sound of @facebook.com

If you ignore the fact that it's Facebook offering it, the idea seems really good: All your conversations in one searcheable inbox regardless of whether they're sent via Email, IM, FB message, SMS.
I'm actually shocked that Google haven't already come up with this rather than messing around with Wave as the "saviour of email"!
Will get signed up just to reserve my address and see how it all pans out...

I use emails on the domains I hold either via Outlook or directly online. Not sure if it is but it feels more secure and with Outlook I can back them up easily and just find general integration better when using Outlook.

Hotmail is the only other email I use which is more for personal and backup purposes as a point of contact should a domain go offline.

I'm sure Facefail email will be popular though, especially with all the girls at my work haha.

Unsure but i read this isn't coming internationally for a couple of months and its by email invite? could be wrong just what i read on SEwatch website

Not another bloody email service.....

I'm quite happy with MobileMe, and Gmail. I do have my own domain also, but that's going to be used on a new web project next year.

Doubt I'll use it - I'm quite happy with Yahoo mail, and recently set up a Gmail account for use with my website.

I might still register - just so I've got it in my name. Don't really like the sound of an @facebook.com address though; to me it just says "I spend too much time messing about on social networks*" - if I was an employer, i'd be put off by that address.

* - as opposed to "I spend too much time raking around Talk Photography".
