1 - Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
or click http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 - Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
or click http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3 - Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
or click http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 - Use Photoshop or similar to put it all together.

5 - Post it to FB with this text in the "caption" or "comment" and TAG the friends you want to join in.

i'm sure people who use flickr wouldn't be happy with people stealing your pic's for this

not wanting to tread on anyone's toes and having already had it pointed out to me that these pictures don't belong to the people who have posted them. i wanted to acknowledge the ownership of the photos laying with the good people on flikr who took them. I hope anyone who's photos are lucky enough to be used would be happy to have them used in this way, and if not i would be happy to remove them.

Can't really see it being a problem. Plus with my band "Cablefix" and their new album "I hate necks" I think I may be on to a winner!

It looks like good fun! I would have no problem with people using any of my images (should they be so lucky to happen across mine!) for this. It's a laugh.

I would 100% have a problem with anyone using mine like that without approaching me first. Even then I would probably say no.

You GO girl...

There was one post out of the 20 reply with a tinge of guilt, but, well, nobody cares, if its on their screen, they can do what they like with it, its the interwebz where everything is free..

"The only thing about someone making one of these album is the chance of getting sued over a photo that doesn't belong to you... a great idea though."

TBH, Flickr and Facebook.....deserve each other.

By taking someone's photo and uploading it to Facebook you are technically in violation of copyright. It doesn't matter if you are claiming it as your own or not, if you didn't get permission, you don't have the right to upload it to Facebook.

It's also violation of Facebook's terms of service.

If your shot is taken you can just contact Facebook and they will remove it.

That's a fair point actually, as Facebook requires you to confirm you are the owner of the picture when you upload it.

All my photos on Flickr are creative commons licensed, so they can do with them what they will. One day I'll start reserving all rights to them.

My band "Gerlach III of Isenburg-Covern" with our album "fear that it becomes formidable" will not be using flickr for the album cover

Although the picture this generated was actually quite amazing! It was a dead tree infront of a modern building

EDIT: This is actually quite entertaining for about 5 minutes. I did another and my band was "Financial Core" with an album title of "spaces surrounded by teeth"

im gonna play, but create an album cover from one of my own images see how it looks. i'll show you it when im done

EDIT: Ok i cant do it now as I've gotta do something, but i'll do it later haha
