Family Collage

Hi, in the past I have made family collages by cutting heads from prints and arranging them randomly on a frame. This process uses a large number of prints and to be honest some of the edges are "rough"

Is there a way for a "simpleton" to do this with software and thus just oreder one large print etc.

At present I have access to Aperture 2 [new user] is there any plug ins that would do the job for me?

Not sure what you are after and I do not know Aperture2 but Picasa3 (free download) has a collage option which my wife uses.

You select the pictures you want and then click on collage. You can select different layouts, (the picture pile is quite good), you can move pictures about, rotate them, put them above or below others (Rt click option) and make them larger or smaller (use mouse scroll).
