hi well its poorly again:help::bang:
its still under warranty but it runs out in april i was woundering if i should just get my money back ?

its been to sony once with focusing issue but now its will not accept any cards i have tried 3 but just keeps saying no card

what do you think guys :bonk:

If you want a better camera then you could try asking for a refund. However they don't have to agree as the camera was bought more than 2 weeks ago. They will have to fix it and I am sure will do a good job.

i thought that i had a right to a refund or my money back or a repair im just losing confidence as its faulty

have you perhaps bent a pin in the slot?

after 10 months use I doubt that you would get a full refund.

i dont think so how can i tell im not bothered about a full refund what about a replacment i feel as if its just going to keep going wrong

well on further inspection looks like one of the pins have broke off :(:(

did you have trouble recently inserting a CF card & tried forcing it?

Itook it back today just have to wait and see what happens !!!
here's the thing lets say its not covered under warranty (how much will it cost to fix ??) can i do it my self or is it not worth the hassle .

I recently sold my A300, because I hadn't used it since I got my A700.

The A300 is basically the same body as the A200 but with live view. Had absolutely no problems with it, really liked it in fact, which is why I went to the A700 when I was looking to upgrade.

You have a statutory right to have the camera repaired or replaced under warranty if it's a manufacturing fault. You do not have a right to a refund. If the fault is caused by the owner you have no rights.

have you tried an A500/A550?
there seems to be quite a lot of A2xx/A3xx users very happy with upgrading to A5xxs.

You've got a very nice set of lenses there for MinAF/Alpha & I don't know if you could replicate it on another mount for the same money (remember they are all image stabilised on an Alpha).

The anti-shake on my A200 broke (camera made a rigth racket on power on), Sony fixed it for pretty quickly (bit of a wait for parts).

Having had to send in both my A900 and A200 recently, I do find Sony Service excellent.

If a pin is broken, this is not likely to be a warranty repair though.

whoops well from what your all saying is good news in the long term stay with sony as for repair i will have to pay up
thanks to you all
