Feedback on my Website

Nice clean look on the iPhone and good loading speed over 3G.

The previous post indicated that it was all flash do didn't except it to work on the iPhone so I presume you have done a mobile optimised version?

I didn't get very far because of the music I'm afraid. I know there's an option to turn it off, but if people are at work, they'll be likely shut it straight down.

Seems there are big differences then between viewing on mobile Safari and a PC.

I didn't get music thankfully. I'm not a fan of sites that play on load and generally leave them very quickly.

Hi Matt

Works fast for me on WiFi ...... And there's nothing wrong with flash as long as you have the blog for google. As for the blog, I must admit I don't like the way it pops up. You would be much better putting it in as a sub domain on the main site for better integration .... ie .yoursite.co.uk/blog ..... Google loves that and it shouldn't be too hard to do. I would remove the music or make it optional but with the default to off .....

I have a big pipe feeding my internet here and your website took far far to long to load, I hate to think how long it would take for people with slower connections

If a website takes that long to load then I usually don't wait around

By the way: Computers, Websites and Other Technology ;)

The blog is loaded dynamically and is not located on that domain so would bring absolutely no benefit in terms of SEO and Google.

I used to love Flash websites but after a few years I realised Flash is not a good business tool. Don't get me wrong this site is nice but Flash defeats the purpose of having a website, and that is to get more business.

If you search for 'photographer YOUR AREA' I would be very very suprised if a photographer with a Flash website was listed in the top 10.

SOLUTION: Change to HTML or keep the Flash site but have an HTML version as well for search engines to pick up

I agree with all the other comments. I too am not a fan of Flash.

Although the site looks nice, it did take a long time to load for me and I'm on a very fast connection.

I used to have flash slideshows on my website, but got rid of them as a number of people commented on not being able to see them on the iPhone.

Being picky but a subdomain would be blog.domainname.co.uk rather than domainname.co.uk/blog

Not sure which is more SEO friendly mind you, especially when it comes to sitemaps etc. Time for some research as I use a subdomain pointing to a tumblr account that I use to blog.
