So had better introduce myself - I'm up in N Yorkshire where it's always cold and breezy and where sheep outnumber humans by at least 10000:1. I've been a keen amateur for years, starting off with an old Pentax SV then MX.

North York Moors, to be as precise as I can on a public forum. Not too many miles from Helmsley. lovely, but the place is filling up with bloody millionaires and second home owners. Only the locals on benefits are staying, in general (ie farmers and single mothers) - but there are just sufficient of us real nutters who pay their own way to make a real community exist, just! Thx for the welcomes.
