File formats?

Just download an album which was in M4A (I think) downloaded a codec so I could play it in WMP, until it's a file type that WMP recognsises without codecs will it not be added to my libary? Any help much appreciated.

isn't M4A apples lossless.

I was under the impression that if WMP could play it then it would add to your library (Codecs or not), but I could be wrong.

Try playing it via iTunes

Another reason to hate iTunes.

Managed to download a trial run of a programme which swaps them to WMP format, not sure which, seems to work fine & adds to the libary fine. Because it was trial run wouldn't change any songs longer than 5 mins, luckily enough theyre wasn't any. But I'm sure theres a full version of it, somewhere, torrents....
