I have been regularly backing up my laptop onto a external hard drive but not checking what or how it was doing. I have tried to find some images but i am really struggling to make sense of it. There appears to be over 200 Gb on the external so there is a lot of something on there!
I just do the overall backup rather than just photography stuff, I kinda assumed that the external would only save new stuff....?
I finally fought my way through layers of folders and seem to end up with zip files that won't unzip! Also I have run backups about every two weeks for many months but can't a] seem to find most of them and b] the ones i find don't seem to be complete, particularly as far as my photos go. I expected to see a mirror image of what was on my computer. I ran one last night and it seems to be as i would expect but what happened to the rest?
