First Dragonfly of the year

Managed to get up close and personal with this Male Broad Bodied Chaser earlier in the week. Comments welcome

I have the same as above with the greater depth of field, so supposedly more detail but the dragonfly gets lost in its background a bit i think, what thinks you??

I think you have done well here to catch the bright blue of his back and keep it exposed as well as the rest of the dragon. Do prefer the bokeh on the first 2. The composition is a little flat in them though as they are taken from above. Perhaps stick with it and go for a more side on view, will improve it considerably and give it some depth.
