Hi All, went into Jessops over the week-end, they told me the 360AFD will work on both my Nikon D5000 and Canon EOS 1000D. Bit confused went in again yesterday and the guy told me that one would only fit one make, something to do with pins or something, even know they are both 6v.

I just want something to work as a flash not really up on TTL and Zooming etc..

Ive seen some on eBay for £30.00 delivered from Hong Kong, are these any good??

Thanks

Yep i think shares should start being awarded to all members.:D:clap:

Hi All, Bit the bullet and got the 360AFD from Jessops yesterday, when compairing either to get obne for my Nikon or canon they guy told me that they would both work on each other as its 6v either way, so got the canon one, can anyone confirm it will work and wont wreck my camera or flash?

You won't get auto-TTL exposure control with the Nikon. The electrical workings for that are different between brands, even though the contacts look the same.

The flash should fire on both cameras okay though, but you must use manual exposure control on the Nikon.
