Hi i just bought a cheap flash gun to experiment with its a jessops 100m flash gun

Basically i have a fuji s9600 camera all seems to be working fine at the moment but i read somewhere about voltages and frying your camera now i have no idea what voltage i need or indeed what voltage the flash gun generates.

can anyone shed any light on if i should remove the flash obviously i dont want to fry my camera

Thks

Rob

I understand that some older flashguns – pre 2000 – may generate a 'power surge' that can 'fry' modern, 21st century cameras. But since you seem to have already used this flashgun in the hotshoe on your cam without ill effects that apparently is not the case for your cam/flashgun combo.

So have fun with it!
