Flash softbox

Hello, planning on shooting outdoors and on location and was wondering if it was possible to get a softbox and stand for a flash?

You can get different size softboxes that work well with flash units. Good starting point would be to search Fleebay for ideas.

This is the kind of thing most people start off with - foldable, half-decent quality, but more importantly, it's good diffusion to kick things off with. This is just an example - there are probably a hoard of cheaper one, or bigger ones on the bay. As for a stand, search on fleabay or amazon for Konig light stands - they seem to be cheap but good quality. Think somewhere like 7dayshop might sell them also....

If you have a decent budget then something like the Westcott Apollo might be a better bet. Although mine doesn't get as much as I'd like because I work outdoors and have to deal with wind, when I have used it it has been invaluable for producing very soft light. Folds down nicely being an umbrella design and it's very well made.

This isn't the only one you should go for, just similar to the vast majority you see on the bay with which most people start out using. Search 'STROBIST SOFTBOX' and a pretty good selection comes up

Go for Konig Lightstand from eBay or Amazon.
OR get a better one from this ebay seller. Much more stable.

About softbox: try to get cheap one, 60x60cm, with two cloths for double diffusion for indoor shooting. I'm using only one diffusion layer when shooting outdoors for more power.

There is also the Lastolite Ezybox speedlight. Great quality, does the job, not badly priced. I like mine.

I have a lencarta soft box but not sure how to add to mount this with flash, think I have some spare stands
