I read this with interest being a flash hater, and at first i thought it is just a cheap gimmick, but I can see this HDR-like idea turning up in smart phones and the like. maybe not suitable for the majority of uses and DSLRs parhaps though.

It's a daft idea. And an old one. And it's still flash.

Colours are distorted and the camera needs a (removeable) filter over the sensor. It's not gonna happen.
