Flickr counter

I`ve been uploading images to my flickr account for a while and noticed that a fresh image has been viewed say 15 times but my counter doesn`t go up and the total shows as 454 but when i checked the amount each photo was viewed and totalled them up it came to over 3000, has anyone any ideas why this is happening please?

Have you tried contacting Flickr...
A wild guess says that they're more likely to know than anyone on the forum.

What are you looking at?

Is it by any chance the first page of your photostream where at the top you have something like

"4,317 items / 16,293 views" in my case

The views doesn't relate to views on your photo's but unique views on your Profile/Account I hope this helps

Yes, a bit strange to say the least, i``ve contacted flickr to see what they say after all they should be able to set up some kind of counter,
