Flickr Views

[Matt989]

I recently sold a lens on here and used flickr to host the photos. One of the shots which is just an unassuming shot of the lens has had nearly 1000 views, more than Ive had on any other photo in my stream. Weird thing is...no comments.

Im assuming its explore but is there anyway to find out where your getting views from in flickr? (non-pro account)

Pictures of kit always seem to have loads of views. Photographers just love looking at camera porn.

I am not admitting to anything.....quickly clears his history....

I have 8 or so shots of a 40D and the lens, most views on the others is around 4 or 5.

They've only been online for around a week or 2!

Weird

It might be something you put in the tags. Some words seem to attract a lot of views.

It's fairly easily explained.

Your sales thread has had 995 views, but why it's only registered on one photo I've got no idea!

Depending on your tags, your photo might be getting thrown up in yahoo (& google?) image search results. I get a spike in my views quite often and it often comes from search engine referrals.

40D gets a lot of searches

Think that may well be the answer! Heres me thinking I was famous for my excellent lens shots!
