I bought a couple of passion flowers at around 2 feet tall, a couple of months ago,
hoping they would be well established come the colder months.
This one obviously thinks its spring.

That's pretty impressive the one this replaced grew strongly and regularly bore fruit, but I kept it to around 6 feet ( the height of the fence) and encouraged the spread.Ours is a climber on a south facing wall - we cut it back to the ground every year and then it climbs to must be 12 or 18 feet

But it died last winter
Its amazing what plants will grow in.it's roots are in gravel and compacted stone chipping
Constance Elliot Passiflora.Caerulaea (? sp! ?)?
I grew one from seed about 25-30 years ago and it keeps trying to block the front door! Fruits freely but the fruits aren't tasty enough to bother with (AFAIK, all Passion fruits are edible [as in non toxic] but only a few are worth eating).
Oh, I do not know ... I 'll ask y wife when she is back on Saturday ... ---@justpix
