FOCUS SCREEN CLEANING.

I am interested to know what you all use to clean your focus screen or mirror if you get a bit of dust or something on it.

I use to own just the one lens so it was never a problem, now i change lenses all the time and despite cleaning the rear of the lens and rear cap after every use i still find the odd foreign body.

I use a swab but would be interested to know what you use?

I don't touch them.

Leave it be - unless you have interchangeable ones, they are easy to scratch, and a blower is likely to put more crap up there.

The mirror is a "first surface" mirror, meaning that the reflective coating is on the side you're looking at and is relatively easy to damage. The focus screen is also all too easy to scratch.

If they're both really filthy, it could be time to send the body off for a thorough cleaning by a good service technician; others may be able to recommend somewhere.
