Your best bet will be to contact the ground before you travel. Chances are as it's lower league you will be able to get the camera in but with only a certain size lens is allowed. Something similar to the Olympics regs which will allow a maximum size of camera and lens together.
If you just take it with you and you're not allowed to take it in then they will keep it safe for you (or maybe not allow you in). It depends on crowd safety issues I suppose.
