grrrrrrrrrr

is it me or did the wedding pics look a little 'weak'? i know its off the topic, but ive such beautiful work in the forum that those sample shots didn't really stand out for me.
Did you read the article. It was examples of how the camera handled the conditions not a portfolio of the togs work so the pictures where chosen on very different merits to norm. Did you look at the real portfolio on the site? The quality of the files from this camera makes me believe that we are finally at the stage where we can buy a DSLR and know it will produce stunning results for many years to come - the necessity to upgrade won't as great as it has been in previous years.
...whilst the performance at high ISO looks good, it doesn't look realistically good enough to print or present to a client...
whilst the performance at high ISO looks good, it doesn't look realistically good enough to print or present to a client. I bet it is super at 400 / 800 mark though
Oh i`m not too sure about that. He does state that he was "trialling" it and rather than no image, a noisy one is surely better than nothing at all.If you pixel peep any camera, wether a D3/D700 or the Canon equivilants, then we could all pick fault. The simple fact is that 99% of people don`t. We are our own worse critics and sometimes we go way OTT.
The results to pretty good to me.

I like Jeff but I was concerned when he announced he was going to trial the mk4 at a live wedding........

I'm convinced that if Canon want to remain in the game they need the MkIV to be very, very good - and it should be just that.
However, I'd probably reserve judgement when someone slightly more independent gets their paws on it. These "tame pros" aren't going to say anything negative - in fact they have probably signed a piece of paper in blood to that effect....
