Took these two with my P&S (Ixus 870is with waterproof housing so I can use it whilst diving as well) ):

Got the tripod out for this - would have been rude not too - although had a few issues with the boat being on water and me not having much light to play with (longer exposure):

Thought I'd chuck another sunset in (I love sunsets):

Lucky git. Freezing here. Would love to visit with a camera - looks like some awesome scenery to be taken advantage of.

Gary.

cheers guys - yes St Lucia does lend itself to some great photography - just a shame Im a rank amateur! still, im happy with the shots as a newb.

suggs - thanks for the info. the st lucian's dont call those fish wrasse though (wrasse wasnt on their fish charts). I thought "wrasse" but when I asked if they were the locals had no clue what a wrasse was!

Hello, i fealt that the third one down had a bit of a white balance problem (it looked very blue) so i had a go at fixing it:

Hi Bumph - thanks for taking the time to do that - much appreciated. Being an amateur I made a typical error - I hadnt checked my settings on the camera before taking the shot. I took several shots and moved on before later realising I had my WB set for tungsten (from the previous evenings shots).

I've bought a book to help me figure out what to do in Elements v7 to hopefully do some post processing. I hope to learn how to do what you have done!

All your subjects are so central in the shot!

have a read here
