free CD/DVD software recommendations please ?

Hi

I've just installed Windows 7 on my laptop and my ageing Nero 7 isn't compatible

can anyone recommend me a free programme to download for CD and DVD burning please ?

I've googled it and theres loads out there but dont want to start randomly downloading stuff that may or may not work

Firstly, Windows 7 has built in support for burning DVD's and CD's including burning iso images. However, for a free tool, I've found the easiest one to use is Infrarecorder which you can download here

i wondered if windows 7 had its own burning software , cant seem to find it though
 
Just chuck in a disk and follow the menu that pops up. It's different for CD's and DVD's. The DVD has the option to burn movies.
