Fuji S2 Pro CCD problem?

I have a thin purple line appearing right across my pictures, regardless of the lens used.. I've only noticed it over the last few days, but now I know it's there.. well, you know what it's like - irritating as hell.

Does this sound like a CCD fault, and are they expensive to fix does anyone know?
 
Its a known issue. Give Fuji UK a call, they may have parts.

Its a CCD fault.

As its just one line, you can remove it without any real data loss, or interpolate a new line for its nearest neighbours.
 
It doesn't stretch the whole way across.. probably about 90%. It's there on all settings, sometimes more visible than others, but I guess thats just the brightness of the picture.

Thanks for the Fuji suggestion - worth giving them a call, but it is quite old now I suppose, so I don't hold out much hope there I think.
 
Sounds like a sensor scratch to me. I really hope not but I used to have an S2 and scratched mine with swab cleaning. I had a purply green strip across all my images for about 80% of the frame, left to right. Definitely worse at higher ISOs and in shadow areas.
 
I think you might be right.. Fuji wanted silly money to fix it, so I'm getting rid now. In the market for another I think!
