Only just returned to photography after meany years. The moon was my first attempt
Think i need more practice ?

A bit, yes, I'm afraid, David! Still worth you posting it so you know that there's room for improvement. FWIW, the Moon's also just off full in your pic - the craters on the terminal (where the shadow at the join of the light and dark sides of the Moon show) are the give away. Again, FWIW, these shadows add some interest to what is otherwise a flat disk of assorted grey shades! On the plus side, IMO you've got the exposure nailed.

There are a couple of my Moon shots showing what a 400mm lens with a 1.4x teleconverter can capture on a crop sensor body HERE.
