Gallery and chrome not playing nice

I just installed Gallery3 on my web space and it's refusing to work with chrome. Works fine with Safari but on chrome all the menus are missing and the JS clearly isn't working right (click login and its a new page with no look and feel not a pop up)

I have re downloaded and deployed the software but no luck.

Interestingly it works as expected even in chrome if I run the gallery on my local machine using MAMP.

I am guessing it's a sever setup related issue that affects chrome but not Safari even though they both use webkit.

Any one else experienced this?

interestingly it doesnt work properly in only chrome on my system (windows).

firefox and IE9 both loads up the correctly formatted logon box, but Chrome loads up a logon box in a new page but its lost all formatting.

Now the question is what's the bug in, Chrome or Gallery?

having a very quick look the a link does have some css on it, are you using a particular theme? definately running up to date versions of G3 and the theme?

It's a vanilla install more or less 1 module (square thumbnails) and that's the default theme. Will try pulling the latest code from Git later.

Though I am wondering if it's something to do with the analytics guff my hosting puts on the end of the source files.

id start with checking everything is up to date, might be a code/browser compatibility bug.

cant see it being analytics to be honest, i think its more of an issue causing formatting problems.

Chrome autoupdates and is latest, Gallery is latest stable and the update button found nothing.

I just find it odd Chrome is broken but Safari isn't as they both use Webkit. So that leads me to think it must be a V8 compatibility issue?

edit: disabled the module and no change now running 100% vanilla.
