Gallery2 - Watermarking

I am using gallery2 as a tempory measure untill i am able to get a proper website built.

I am selling both downloads and prints, for which i have everything set up and working well, except for the watermarks.

I am using 300x300 px thumnails leading to 600x600 px resizes, i am not allowing full sizes to be viewed.
I have created a watermark for each, a small and a large version, as gallery2 is unable to scale them to fit.

However it seems you are not able to use two watermarks within one album. For eample when setting the watermark,

Step 1. Choose which watermark you want to use
I choose small watermark.

Step 3. Choose which images to watermark
I choose thumbnails only.

This results in only the thumbnails only to be watermarked, with the correct size mark, perfect.

But then if i go back and do it again, but choose the larger watermark and apply it to resizes only, it works fine for resizes but removes the watermark from the thumbnails.

In short, my only option is to use one size watermark on both images. If i use the small, then the main gallery looks good, but the watermarks is small and illegible on the resizes.
If i use the large watermark, the resizes are good, but it looks terrible on the thumnails, for example....

Small watermark.

Large watrmark.

So my question is, does anyone know of a way i can work round this, or maybe an alternative watermarking plugin that i have not found yet?
If i can't do anything with it, then i guess my best bet would be to stick with the small watermark globally, but i really would like to do it properly if possible.

Cheers

Can you not put the watermark on at source? Make a photoshop action that adds it, or use an export plugin like LR 2 Mogrify if you are using lightroom - I sure there are similar things for apeture.

That way the images has a watermark on it from the start, and then you upload it to the website as it is.

Unfortunately not, as i am selling downloads the uploaded image is what is supplied.

I have decided to make my thumbnails much smaller so that they are of no use to anyone, but still clear enough to recognise faces, and then watermark the resizes only.
