cracking shots(y) love the spikey look on the legs in 2 great.

nice shots...2 and 3 I'd be tempted to use stacking sofware to get that front leg into focus. Everything else is in focus here so it is slightly distracting. just the fact that it is in the foreground and not background make it more readily apparent to my eye. Like the detail on the spider claw especially. Well done.

Amazing pics - how do you get them so sharp - is it all flash? and/or tripod? What shutter/aperture/iso?

Carl,

Fantastic shots of the spider. I would be interested to know what do you use on your 24-105 L lens to get in so close?. I have the same lens and it will not enlarge to that size.

Wow.

But my wife thinks :runaway:

No 3 is just a wee bit too close. Gives me the shivers.

Thanks guys and gals (y)

Handheld, off camera flash, 1/160 - 1/200 at ISO100, F5.6 - F9 using the MP-E65 which is the real secret!

Hello you beauties :) nice close ups (y) well done Carl.

;) Not taken with my 24-105, I use my MP-E65 for all my macro work.

Thanks Carl,

I thought you may have the 'special' lens. Well done again.
