Hi all

A big thanks to Garry for putting on today's Training Day, and providing a superb model in Rebekah too

As ever, I enjoyed meeting another bunch of fellow TP members (Alan for the 2nd time :thumbs:) and the meet went well - even the local chippie was great :lol:

Strangely, perhaps, I didn't actually take any photos but tried to help or offer advice to others who did, and with considerable 'chimping' I can confirm a whole load of great shots were taken - so anticipate a few threads with those later

Yep - proper fish & chips - in real dead animal fat - yummy :lol::lol::lol:

Not sure I added that much tbh - the guys were doing a great job and they shot our model in several poses/costumes (or lack of them)

One thing that's odd for a bloke (or anyone interested in the female form!) is that when faced with a young, stunning naked female you look at them as a 'model' only and focus on the photography. Chatting to a naked girl about her breasts and how best to present them is something we don't do that often!

At least Garry's studio ensured they were pert !!! :D

Yep, a big thanks to Garry I've learned an awful lot and need to digest everything also thanks to Rebecca, who was very stunning and great to work with.

As Dave said, this was my first naked shoot and it was very strange just standing there talking to a naked woman :eek: (who was not the missus), but you soon get over the 'don't know where to look for the best' moment and just get on with it.

Lastly it was good to meet the other TP guys and a thanks also to Dave for helping and giving me some great pointers ie tighter cropping :thumbs:.

I would have loved to come to this course.. but with my delicate position at the moment it wasnt to be, it sounds like a success so i think i'll be the first to put my name down for the next one.. as long as my shoulders working by then!! lol...
 
I would just like to echo the comments allready made. Good to meet Dave again and everyone else. Thanks to Steve for arranging the day and hope you had a good drive back home! Thanks to Gary for running the day and to our model Rebecca who was great to work with. Just about to down load photos then start the job of processing the pics! Might even post some (first time posting any photos)

Alan - I chimped your camera a lot - some great shots on there m8 - don't be shy - post 'em

Process them to death too and still post them :thumbs:

Nothing you can show will be 'wrong' - so process & post away for us all to learn from :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Have been in about 30 minutes, have lots of processing to do this week too.

Garry, have to say that I picked up some great information, and surprisingly, even those Nixon cameras seemed to work too ;)

Great day everyone! Thanks to Steve for orgaining the day and Garry for allowing us to delve into his studio and experience! Nice to meet such a nice bunch of guys too. I didn't get to take many pics... but that was through choice as I was there for lighting inspiration more than anything else. Very impressed by DD's eye for a shot, what a helpful guy! :thumbs:

I love the power of the low key monochrome portrait. That is one stunning capture.
 
A bit late, but I've just made it back...fog, rain and a hangover later...

I can only copy what everyone else has already, so thanks Steve and Gary for a great day, learning something different and getting out of my "comfort zone".

Yes, well that shot was just to demonstrate hard short lighting - I really look much better than that - I hope...
of course I could complain to the mods - you don't have a model release for that shot:lol:
