Yes
not sure if this is in the right area or not.
theres a big motocross event to be held at a local motox track in 2009, which id love to get to photograph. whats the best way of getting permission and access to it? or getting a press pass?
any ideas?
thanks

I'd just ring the track or even pop down in person and see if they have a press officer or talk to someone who's in charge.
I'm sure they'll welcome interest from photographers and if you bung them a few prints or a CD of images afterwards, I'm sure that won't do relations for future events any harm. Get in there early and there's more chance of remembering you if you make an impact and seem keen.

I'm working on that principle for the Ladies World Mud Wrestling Championship which runs alongside the Playboy Wet T-Shirt Competition... :)

Specialman, you need any assitants? I could spread the mud on etc

Ask the organisers or the venue.

If they're remotely professional they will ask for evidence of your need to be there, usually a letter from your editor vouching for you.

The only enduro I've been was a shambles organisation-wise, but they did ask to see evidence of insurance.

thanks for the help. only problem in not togging for anyone, just myself...
but would still like to get in and get some pictures.
ill have some enquires!
