So I went for a walk yesterday, with the big lens on, hoping for some wildlife opportunities. As is often the case, it didn't happen and as I sat there on a log, I thought about trying something different. I do like landscape photography too but didn't really have the lens with me for it.

So I made do with what I had and sat there, just swinging my camera and lens from left to right. I could see 2 folk about to walk into frame so I waited.

I got this, entirely in camera.

I quite enjoyed it.

Crit welcome, as always.

I do too. Necessity is the mother of invention.

It's a little like the cover of Santana's Caravanserai album @woof woof
Nice one @Dale.

That's no way to treat new gear

:D

Nice image (y) I keep meaning to try more like this.

Cheers Gav.

Give it a go, it's actually quite satisfying. I've never really done it in camera before but I was there, with nothing to do so I tried. I got a half decent result and an image I wouldn't have otherwise. Beaches seem good for it and maybe soon, bluebell woods. (y)

Dale, I like it but at first thought I needed to go to the Opticians,
Nice to see something different.

Thanks Allen.

I had to swing the camera at just the right speed to keep the poeple visible, any faster and they'd disappear. It was good fun trialling this. (y)
