Hi I'm Ash from North Wales. I'm disabled and can only use my left hand, not fully. I'm going to an airshow in September in England and I was wandering is there a gimbal or something that I can attach my mobile phone to and then hold it with my left hand? I'd need to either tap the screen to take an image or press a button on the gimbal, is there such a device please??

I cannot make any recommendations but some which may be suitable are the likes of these.....

And click on the phone gimbal link.

You may not need anything fancy.

A holder for the phone, with a button on it to take a photo.

The button could just be one of those remotes that come with selfie sticks (and separately) held onto the holder with duct tape :)

Or even just a retracted selfie stick with the remote attached.

I'm sure there are more expensive and sophisticated solutions, but if they would be any better, or suit your needs better would be the question.

A gimbal would normally give some stabilisation, and maybe tracking, but that is not mentioned in your post.

Have you heard of The Disabled Photographers Society? https://www.the-dps.co.uk/

(I am only aware of them from their second hand stall at The Photography Show, but they do specialise in helping with making photography accessible).

Charlie Philips did a talk at our camera club. He is a fantastic wildlife photographer and only has the use of one hand. Here is an image of him shooting from a gimbal and shooting with the shutter button on the battery grip

That is a commercial version of what I was thinking of, and looks ideal.

The price is also very good, so it look like it would be very much worth a try.

If there are any issues with that or similar devices when you try them, they are only going to show up when you do try them, and until you know what problems there may be, you can't do anything about them, worth getting one to try.

I use a samsung A70 phone to take images, would the images be sharp and clear for taking shots of aircraft in the air? Heres a few ii took a few years ago, i should have zoomed in.
