Hi all

I'm a little disappointed with my Giottos - rather than blowing away dust they actually have a habit of spraying dust on the lens / etc.

Any suggestions for alternatives? I've actually got one cheapie blower that is much better but I can't remember where I got it from!

Thanks

Phil

just buy a new giottos, if it is blowing dust out then it's not the blowers fault it just means it is well used, my old one is the same but it's not surprising after several years of blowing dust that it's also sucked some up especially when I had the habit of using it to blow dust from my computer as well.

I've got a Lenspen blower that has a valve on the nozzle to prevent dust being blown onto the sensor. I assumed most of these blowers were made like that but maybe not. I got one in my sensor cleaning loupe set and another ordered straight from an online outlet. Maybe I wouldn't trust some of the cheaper ones on ebay, so it's worth paying a little extra IMO.

That sounds perfect - I'll go and locate one!

You can pull the red end off the Giottos and wash it out with water. I did that when I was bored the other day...
