Yes
Has anyone completed one of these courses in the past and if so what was it like. I have booked to go on the Explore your DSLR part 2 in the hope I can just get someone who knows what they are doing to physically see what I am doing and why i can't achieve what I want to. Having spent a large amount on the gear, I realise its the idiot behind it that needs sorting, hence booking the course.

So, any feedback on these courses would be appreciated, or are they just a waste of time and money.

Well we have a vested intrest, but whether you'll learn anything or not depends on a number of factors, how much you know already, how good the tutor is etc etc.
Most people seem to find the courses usefull, and we get good feedback in general.

Ahh, I take it your one of the tutors. Never thought there could be one or two on here ;)

Better sing its praises once i have been then. Graham Noble is the tutor for the day according to my booking.

I have been on a couple of the London area ones and sent a couple of people on the intro course as a present. I think they are nicely taught and the course literature was well put together. Overall good value I felt!

I bought the part one course for my dad last year and we both went back for the part 2 course this year. I think it really depends on your tutor and where you do the course. Part one was at Bodiam Castle in Sussex and they got a really great setting and time to do some practical work. Part 2 was in Windsor, again a really nice setting and ample practice time. We both came away having learnt something from the day. The day was pretty relaxed and informal and the tutor explained things really well to a pretty diverse bunch.
All in all I would recommend them, just check the course criteria to make sure you're getting what you need out of it. They also do other, speciality, courses.

I did the lowlight and fill flash course recently with Graham. It was pretty good. Learned quite a bit.
