Moss side used to be good for shooting ;)

Castelfields and MOSI, loads of buildings the library town hall, the big wheel china town, St Annes square. A little further out is Salford quays.

Lmao moss side, yeah good point i didnt think about the MOSI :bonk:

i am going tomorrow
on earlier visits i did the city centre buildings and some street scenes
trams are interesting as are the railway bridges and structures
if i take my camera tomorrow i will shoot the river irwell at blackfriars...gritty stuff
albert square is a must

outside my favourite pub

Castlefields, Manchester Cathedral, St Annes Square for people, Central Library is great too with the walkways around it. Have fun. :)

Also Manchester Town Hall (Albert Square) will let you take shots inside (amazing building) so long as you sign a declaration saying they are not for commercial use

MU stadium??
the lowry
docklands

This guy is worried about using his camera outside in Cheshire, please avoid the places mentioned in post 8 LOL

cathederal, triangle shopping (old corn exchange) the midland & palace hotel

are all good for building shots

Next to spinningfields, John Rylands Library will let you shoot inside (no flash or tripods) as said Northern Quarter.

If you start in the city centre and you cross the Mancunian way your in the wrong part of Manchester to be with a camera.

2/ take a friend for company/security

3/ have fun

4/ take no notice of this quote

Mike have you ever been to Manchester? There are some really nice places just outside the city center, Mossside, Ardwick, Broughton, Chetham Hill road. You will be relieved of anything in your posesion if they think it has any value. Have you seen the TV show Shameless?

castlefield is really really good, just need to keep ** eyes open!

the spinningfields development is "nice".
Moved into a new office at Spinningfields last week. Got to take the camera out at lunchtime and then at night - looks lovely at 5ish
